kkʷēyˊ– Hello!
My name is Tiana and my son is Kaden.
We are both Penobscot and Passamaquoddy and belong to the Penobscot Nation.
We are the owners and artists behind the People of the Dawn Apothecary.
My mother inspired us to start creating healing products.
In 2017, my mother was diagnosed with inoperable stage 4 breast cancer. This devastated our family. Rather than give up, we sought alternative treatments.
For the next year, my mom took homeopathic treatments and foods that helped boost her immune system and "starve" her cancer.
At the end of the year, the cancer had shrunk so small, the doctors were astounded! They said it was now operable, and they were able to take it out.
This story inspired us to think of other ways to incorporate our traditional medicines into our everyday lives. Our products come in reusable containers and are made from safe materials for all ages, from our little-little ones to Elders.
